Hi Everyone,
Great broadcast, it was so good to see all of your artwork. I have added the sketches I made during the broadcast to this post. Here are some wrap up thoughts:
1. If you are still working on your final composition go a head and email it to me and I will give you feedback ASAP.
2. If you have completed your drawing you have two options,
*First option, you can ink it in black ink, bring the image into illustrator and color it using the paint bucket tool like we did in class. This method only really works if you have smooth line work, choppy line work does not work well for this method.
*Second option, you can import your pencil sketch into Illustrator without inking it and use the tools in Illustrator to create your work. If you choose this method, you will need to work with layers, creating a background layer first, then separate layers for each character. Having separate layers for each character will allow you to move the characters around and resize them, giving you more flexibility with the final image.
3. Remember, DVC Spring Recess is from March 29 - April 4, we meet again as a group on April 7.
4. At any time next week if you would like some feed back on your project please email me and I will help.

3/24 Homework
Hi everyone,
It was great seeing all of your childhood stories.
Homework:
1. Go to the "Red Riding Hood tab at the top of the blog and read the story.
2. Pull out your sketchbook and read it again, this time make written or verbal notes for yourself.
3. In your sketchbook using black ink pen or pens only fill a page with character designs.
4. In your sketchbook using black ink pen or pens only divide the page into 4 quarters and fill each section with a different possible background or environment for the action to take place in.
5. Let all the line work be scratchy and rough if you need to get some ideas from the internet for inspiration thats fine, however... do not just copy another artist. Its ok to be inspired but not to just plain copy another persons work and put your name on it. Your goal is to just draw its the only way to get better.
6. your sketches should be uploaded to the discussion board titled "Red Riding Hood Concept Art" by the beginning of class on Thursday.
BONUS CONTENT FOR INSPIRATION
*A fun Beatnik version of the story
*Dark Fairytale Music - Little Red Riding Hood
